Hello all
Toddy is very glad to give you the dates for his 15th Big Scottish Rally. It will be held on Saturday 24th & Sunday 25th of August 2024. We have a new farm with around 500 acres of mostly pasture/silage. Our event is south of Hawick. We will not disclose the exact farm so it does not get jumped.
ARRIVING If you are camping you can arrive on Friday after 1pm set up camp.. You can stay until Monday morning and off site by 12 noon and no detecting at all on Monday. Some fields you will be able to walk to but if they are far ill make sure you can take the car (BUT not a campervan) if you can’t get a lift let me know as we will be able to assist. You must go directly on arrival to register.
Tickets No tickets will be sent out but the location will be emailed to you the week of the rally. The postcode and what3words will also be posted on our facebook events page and website.
THE LOCATION Is about 20 mins as the crow flies from the English border and is surrounded by history right back to neolithic. We also have a castle ruin on site inc many forts. The site is all silage but Could have some cropped fields on Sunday. Having had many rallies in the borders I would expect good finds to turn up or even a hoard like last years rally. The site has NEVER had club digs or rallies on it.
An excellent INN is the Old Cross Keys in Denholm as well as many Air BnBs at Hawick inc Caravan sites.. Mention our event to Karen.

Trades Toddy’s Metal Detecting In Scotland shop will be on site. We are Scotlands largest and longest established Minelab, Garrett, XP and Nokta Experts. Detector Rental available also for kids. If you need anything prior please ask.
We hope to have a snack van as usual on site. Bring food and water with you. ABSOLUTLY NO FIRES ON GRASS FIELDS!
Toilets We will have ample portaloos and skip on site.
Dogs Allowed but ON LEADS at all times.
First Aid First Aid Kit will be on site along with first responders.
Insurance You must bring FID or NCMD insurance with you at check in.
